The Communicator is used to send data and status information
between assets and the OmniTRACK website. The unit can be purchased
as either a GPRS or 3G modem plus internal GPS.
Features of the Communicator include:
- Reports current asset position
- Reports GPS speed & direction
- Reports ignition status (on or off)
- Can load geofences in transceiver
- Sends scheduled reports of input status
- Sends alerts if an input rises above a threshold
- Reports odometer readings (distance travelled)
- Reports engine RPM (revs per minute)
- Reports vehicle arrival times from geofences
- Reports vehicle departure times from geofences

The terminal is designed for vehicles which operate continually
or predominately within a GPRS or 3G network coverage area. When
the Communicator is outside of a network coverage area the
data is stored internally until such time as network coverage is
regained. |
