The Satsafe unit ensures Occupational Health and Safety
requirements are met for employees by allowing managers to locate
field personnel, monitor their status and respond quickly in the
case of an emergency

There are four buttons on the Satsafe unit, each
button is uniquely shaped and dedicated to a specific message type.
These are:
(1) breakdown,
(2) breakdown and emergency,
(3) paging and
(4) a user defined button which can be used to send a user defined
message, or when used in combination with the other buttons allows
a previously sent message to be cancelled. |
In order to function the Satsafe unit must be connected to the
standard OmniTRACK system, which comprises of communication
equipment, the OmniTRACK website and the OmniSTAR Network Control
Centre. Personnel information is processed at the Network Control
Centre, which is manned 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. This
information is made available to customers through the OmniTRACK
website.
